This is a very well made and colorful reproduction statue of the Minoan Snake Goddess. I saw these statues in Crete, Greece at the Archeological Museum in Heraklion, Crete. They were part of the Minoan religious beliefs.
So, I bought a small reproduction of this statue at a souvenir shop in Crete along with a bunch of other reproductions (vases, bulls, Phaistos disks, etc.).
From Etsy, I sent this bigger Minoan Snake Goddess statue to my niece, who has 2 snakes as pets (yes, snakes). She loves it!
She sent met the attached photo, with her snake – who also loves the statue – ha ha!
It shipped very fast from Greece, and was packed very well according to my niece, and it arrived in perfect condition. It is made of a ceramic.
Shop owner Bilio Maria did a great job.
You should really like this well-made reproduction.
